My client, a global outdoor products manufacturer is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in the Oxford, CT area to lead supplier quality initiatives, ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards, and drive performance improvement across development projects. This role focuses on supplier audits, PPAP ownership, and quality systems implementation to support high-performance product delivery.

Description
The Key Responsibilites of the Supplier Quality Engineer are:
- Lead supplier quality activities across development projects, quality improvements, and ongoing supplier performance.
- Own supplier PPAP processes including documentation and on-site verification.
- Implement and audit against ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and IATF 16949:2016 standards.
- Analyze supplier returns and drive corrective actions and design improvements.
- Conduct sustainability and quality audits for both domestic and international suppliers.
- Support supplier development through training, inspection systems, and process optimization.
- Act as the critical link between suppliers and Thule manufacturing operations to ensure consistent quality delivery.
Profile
The Succesful Supplier Quality Engineer will:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5-7 years' experience in supplier quality engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO, IATF, and VDA standards, SPC/SQC tools, and quality systems.
- Experienced in Lean Manufacturing principles, IMDS, PPAP, and auditing processes.
- Skilled in problem-solving with Six Sigma methodologies.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems like M3 is a plus.
- Proactive, collaborative, and passionate about continuous improvement and quality excellence.
