Superintendent - Commerical & Multifamily Projects - Boston

This firm, based in Boston, is seeking a lead superintendent and an assistant superintendent to join their team on a diverse pipeline of projects including schools, multifamily, & general commercial up to $50M.

Client Details

A reputable general contractor known for repeat business and well tenured employees, this firm takes on competitive ground up and renovation projects. They are currently working on a $40M school and a multifamily build in the Greater Boston area.

Description

• Manage day-to-day operations on construction sites to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations at the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and address any potential issues promptly.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to interpret blueprints and resolve construction challenges.
• Supervise and direct on-site personnel, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to project plans.
• Communicate project updates and milestones effectively to relevant stakeholders.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• A solid understanding of construction processes
• Familiarity in multifamily or commercial builds
• Podium build experience and a MA CSL are not required, but a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising and coordinating teams on construction sites.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges during project execution.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
