Description

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer's Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, tolerance adherence, quality compliance, and cost efficiency
• Identify and design or procure fixtures and gauges needed for new components
• Create detailed manufacturing documents, including setup sheets, sketches, and shop floor instructions
• Program CNC machines, troubleshoot startup challenges, and fine-tune cutting parameters to maximize efficiency and tool longevity
• Diagnose and resolve machinery and process issues alongside shop floor staff and engineering teams
• Operate CNC lathes, machining centers, and various manufacturing equipment hands-on
• Work collaboratively with engineering, quality assurance, supervision, and operations to enhance productivity and product quality
• Engage in root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to address quality concerns
• Support the training of machine operators on operational procedures and specific task workflows

Profile

Ideal CNC Manufacturing Engineer:

• Associate's degree or equivalent education
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for drawing, design, and dimensioning
• Over 5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with turning and milling
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong understanding of machine shop operations and practices
