Sr. Estimator
We are seeking a Senior Estimator for a Bonita Springs-based general contractor specializing in large-scale multifamily and commercial construction. This role offers a clear path to Estimating Director as the current leader approaches retirement.
Client Details
The company is a well-established general contractor with a strong presence in Southwest Florida, known for delivering high-quality ground-up multifamily developments and commercial/public sector projects. Their portfolio includes wood frame and block & plank/hollow core buildings as well as civic work like libraries, parks, EOCs, and fire/police stations - ranging in value from $2.5M to $150M+. The Bonita Springs office is a small but strategic hub that will grow as the regional operation expands.
Description
Produce accurate cost estimates and quantity take-offs for multifamily, commercial, and municipal projects
Review drawings and specifications to develop detailed scopes of work and bid packages
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders during the preconstruction and bid process
Assist with value engineering, scheduling input, and constructability analysis
Collaborate closely with the current Estimating Director and prepare to take over leadership of the estimating department
Help build the team and systems for a growing regional office
Profile
7+ years of experience in construction estimating, especially multifamily ground-up projects ($30M+)
Strong knowledge of wood frame and block & plank/hollow core construction methods
Exposure to public sector or municipal projects is a plus
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or Sage
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Leadership potential, initiative, and a desire to grow into a Director role
Comfort working in a small team and helping scale a department
Job Offer
Base salary of $140,000 - $175,000, depending on experience
Substantial growth in compensation and responsibility upon promotion to Estimating Director
