CNC Manufacturing Engineer - Franklin, MA
My client is looking for a CNC Programming Engineer who specializes in creating efficient machining programs, optimizing tool paths, and improving cycle times for high‑precision production. Focused on reducing scrap, standardizing processes, and partnering with machinists to deliver consistent, cost‑effective results in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

My client is a precision contract manufacturer based in Franklin, Massachusetts, this firm specializes in CNC machining, electromechanical assembly, and rapid prototyping for industries such as aerospace, medical, and defense. It is ISO-certified and employs lean manufacturing practices to deliver high-quality components and assemblies to major OEMs.
Description
You will report directly into the General Manager and be responsible for:
- Developing and optimizing CNC programs for milling and turning operations
- Creating efficient tool paths to improve cycle times and part quality
- Selecting tooling, speeds, and feeds to maximize machine performance
- Collaborating with machinists to validate programs and resolve production issues
- Adjusting programs and setups to reduce scrap and improve repeatability
- Reviewing engineering drawings and models to ensure manufacturability
- Standardizing programming methods and documentation across jobs
- Troubleshooting machining problems and implementing corrective actions
- Supporting continuous‑improvement efforts to streamline workflows and reduce costs
Profile
A successful candidate will have
- Hands on CNC machine shop experience
- 5+ years of experience programming CNC machinery
- CAD/CAM programming skills
- MasterCAM / CAMworks preferred
- Contract manufacturing experience is a plus
- Electro-mechanical assembly farmiliarity is a plus
