Estimator | General Contractor

Description

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyze project requirements and collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the scope.
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Assist in developing project budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.
• Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Stay updated on industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs to maintain competitive estimating practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address any questions or concerns regarding project estimates.

A successful Estimator should have:

• A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
