Quality Manager l Global Manufacturing Company
Our client is a global manufacturer with a strong presence domestically looking to bring on a Quality Manager to their facility here in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. At this facility, they do metal manufacturing along with some plastic injection molding to make a product that's extremely recognizable in big box stores.

Our client is a global metals and plastics manufacturer in Cary, IL who has a huge footprint throughout the world, but specifically the United States. Boasting a logo that you would surely recognize, they have strong name brand recognition and a fantastic culture that follows.
With a recently renovated facility, they have state of the art equipment and a growing customer base to go along with it. They typically look for individuals who want to grow as they offer trajectory at both the local and corporate level.
Lastly, despite being a large company - our client has a small company feel in terms of having the autonomy to make decisions and the trust of the leadership team to do so.
Description
- Maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) that aligns with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, ensuring the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Monitor all stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Establish and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, audits, and test results.
- Develop and conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Work closely with suppliers and customers to resolve any quality concerns and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Track and report key quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of the quality process.
Profile
- Strong Manufacturing experience in a managerial capacity (10+ years)
- 10+ years in a Quality related position
- Bachelors Degree
- Lead Auditing Experience (ISO 9001)
- Strong SPC experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective in communication style
Job Offer
- Base Salary up to $145,000
- 10% Bonus
