My client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their New Product Development Team out of the Salem, MA area. They specializes in manufacturing highly technical systems and technologies serving industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, life sciences, and optics. The company is known for its innovative engineering solutions that enhance the performance and accuracy of high-tech equipment in demanding environments.

Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving the design and development of reliable electrical systems, from defining requirements to integration and testing.
  • Managing complex, time-sensitive projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborating with Software, Firmware, Controls, and Mechanical engineers to create cost-efficient solutions.
  • Planning and conducting performance validation activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
  • Building expertise in the company's electrical systems to offer guidance and support to staff and customers.
  • Contributing to product design reviews to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Overseeing and coordinating work with third-party resources.
  • Maintaining, supporting, and enhancing existing systems and platforms on an ongoing basis.

Profile

The successful Senior Electrical Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in PCB design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
  • Proficient in ECAD tools like Altium, Eagle, or OrCAD.
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital signal processing.
  • Strong experience in data acquisition for various sensor types, including knowledge of resolution and noise tolerances.
  • Familiarity with ADC and DAC operations.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and soldering irons.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols including SPI, I2C, and parallel interfaces.
  • Understanding of memory types like ROM and RAM.
  • Proficiency in AC/DC power distribution and amplification techniques.
  • Experience using simulation tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, SPICE, or Multisim.
  • Familiarity with CE and/or UL marking standards.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001 environments.
