Leading Bank seeking an IT Manager. This role is 3 days on site in Weehawken, NJ but must be open to being on site 5x a week if needed.

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on leadership role within the Technology team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT operations while supporting strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with local management and global teams to execute the Group's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role includes people management responsibilities, with direct oversight of a team of four.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-User Support: Lead Help Desk/Desktop Support services, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of hardware, software, and general technology issues across the organization.

  • Application Management: Oversee the lifecycle of critical applications-including identification, outage and disruption handling, upgrades, replacements, and testing.

  • Technology Lifecycle & Budgeting: Maintain a supported and supportable hardware/software environment by managing lifecycle planning, budgeting, and resource allocation in coordination with international teams.

  • Infrastructure Support: Provide local support during infrastructure outages, updates, testing, and troubleshooting efforts.

  • Documentation: Ensure documentation and system flow diagrams for New York-based applications are accurate and regularly updated.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with technology vendors, including license management, procurement, and invoice review. Collaborate with local and global procurement teams to ensure proper onboarding, risk assessments, and due diligence processes.

  • Business Engagement: Act as the key liaison for technology changes affecting the business, collecting feedback and ensuring smooth change management and adoption.

  • Risk & Governance: Lead risk-related initiatives including disaster recovery testing, business continuity planning, controls monitoring, and audit reporting.

  • Team Management: Oversee a team of four, managing workload prioritization, resource scheduling, performance goals, cross-training, leave, and expenses. Support each team member's development through regular communication, IDP planning, and performance reviews.

  • Audit & Regulatory Interface: Serve as the primary contact for technology-related interactions with internal/external auditors and local regulators, including the annual OCC examination.

Profile

  • Technology Operations Management: Proven experience in managing desktop support, application support, networking, data centers, and AV systems in highly regulated environments.

  • Regulatory & Compliance Engagement: Hands-on experience working within regulatory frameworks (FINRA, OCC) and coordinating with internal audit teams.

  • End-User Support & Collaboration Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 11, Horizon, MDM/mobile device administration, Zoom (including Crestron panel integration and Zoom Phone systems), and enterprise printing solutions (Ricoh, Equitrac).

  • People Leadership: Extensive experience in leading cross-functional support teams with a focus on performance, continuous improvement, and global coordination.

  • Communication & Change Management: Skilled in bridging the gap between IT and business, ensuring smooth adoption of technology upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Emerging Technologies: Exposure to AI tools, with recent experience supporting aggressive deployment of Microsoft Copilot.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Tier 1 Financial Services firms

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field

  • Strong global exposure and management of international IT operations

  • Deep experience in AV setups, video conferencing, and modern workplace technologies

  • Expertise in cyber incident escalation protocols and risk-aware IT governance
