VP/SVP/EVP, Medical - Hospital-Based Antibiotics
The Medical Head for the US Market will direct the medical strategy and execution for hospital-based antibiotics, ensuring scientific excellence, clinical alignment, and stakeholder engagement. This role will drive medical affairs activities, including clinical research, medical education, and partnership with healthcare professionals, to facilitate product adoption and address unmet needs in the US hospital setting.

Our global client, known for developing and manufacturing medicines globally, is developing a class of novel antibiotics to combat multi-drug resistant infections.
Description
- Develop and execute medical affairs strategies for hospital-based antibiotics to enable product lifecycle and market success in the U.S.
- Oversee post-marketing studies, real-world evidence generation, and ensure robust scientific communication of clinical data.
- Build relationships with KOLs, infectious disease specialists, and hospital-based healthcare professionals to drive advocacy.
- Design and deliver evidence-based education programs for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with FDA and industry standards.
- Partner with Market Access, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to align medical insights with business priorities and compliance requirements.
- Mentor and manage a medical affairs team, fostering scientific rigor, teamwork, and professional development.
- Ensure all medical activities adhere to U.S. regulations, PhRMA Code, and ethical standards.
- Stay ahead of antimicrobial resistance trends, therapeutic gaps, and industry developments to inform product positioning and future planning.

Profile
A successful VP/SVP/EVP, Medical - Hospital-Based Antibiotics should have:
- MD or DO degree, with board certification in infectious diseases preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in antibiotics medical affairs, with at least eight years in a management role focused on the U.S. market.
- Deep expertise in hospital-based therapeutics and antimicrobial resistance, with a strong knowledge of emerging resistance mechanisms and therapeutic gaps.
- Proven ability to engage KOLs and drive clinical research initiatives, including post-marketing studies and real-world evidence generation.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems and antibiotic stewardship programs, plus familiarity with HEOR.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, mentorship, and communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional partnership and compliance with FDA and industry standards.
Job Offer
- Base salary ranging from $350000 to $450000 annually.
- Performance-based bonus opportunities.
