General Superintendent- Healthcare Experience

The General Superintendent will lead field operations for complex healthcare construction projects across South Florida, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees multiple superintendents and subcontractors while serving as the on-site authority for execution and compliance.

Description

• Oversee all field operations for healthcare construction projects, including hospitals, medical offices, and specialty care facilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage project superintendents and field teams across multiple job sites

• Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards, infection control (ICRA), life safety, and local AHJ requirements

• Coordinate with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors to maintain schedule and quality

• Develop and enforce site logistics plans, safety programs, and quality control procedures

• Review schedules, manpower plans, and subcontractor performance to ensure project milestones are met

• Serve as the primary field representative for the company on healthcare projects

Profile

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with significant healthcare project experience in South Florida

• Proven background delivering hospitals, medical office buildings, surgical centers, or similar healthcare facilities

• Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, ICRA protocols, and occupied-facility construction

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple superintendents and large field teams

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• OSHA certification and strong commitment to jobsite safety
