Our client is a market-leading fresh produce company offering over 50 kinds of organic produce. They are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their dynamic farm accounting team.

Description

• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
• Develop and maintain standard costing models for all products
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes
• Conduct regular cost reviews and cost analysis to ensure accuracy and identify trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and finance to gather relevant cost data
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold
• Prepare and present cost reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Participate in inventory management activities including inventory valuation and physical inventory counts
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

• $75,000 - $95,000

Job Offer

• Four-year Accounting Degree required from an accredited College/University
• Three to five years of experience in related Farm Accounting environment or Food Manufacturing
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be analytical, organized, detail oriented
