Client Details

A dedicated industrial real estate developer specializing exclusively in industrial and logistics-focused development and investment. With active projects in over 15 states nationwide, they are now seeking to expand their team in the Indianapolis metro area with immediate effect.

Description

Some Responsibilities of an Industrial Development Manager are:

  • Provide leadership and direction to external consultants across disciplines including land surveying, geotechnical analysis, environmental review, legal counsel, zoning, and permitting.
  • Analyze and validate due diligence materials such as surveys, title reports, easements, environmental assessments, utility layouts, and compliance with zoning and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Develop and manage predevelopment budgets and project schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee third-party preconstruction and architectural/design teams to drive timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Monitor and manage overall project schedule, costs, and contract change orders to maintain control throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Review monthly development draw packages and provide approval recommendations based on performance and compliance metrics.

Profile

The Successful Industrial Development Manager will have:

  • Oversee third-party preconstruction and architectural/design teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and change orders, maintaining control throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Review monthly development draw packages and provide clear, data-driven approval recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution from project inception through completion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Real Estate required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate development or 5+ years as a Construction Project Manager overseeing full-cycle industrial projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as project needs dictate.
  • Candidates must currently reside in or be relocating to the Indianapolis metro area.
