Global Vendor Planning Manager
Our client is seeking a Global Vendor Planning Manager who will be key in enhancing the overall operational performance of their supply chain. As the ideal candidate, you will bring a proven track record of strategic vendor management in the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Description
Supply Planning
- Standardize parameters for allocated portfolio and manage Phase In/Phase Out projects.
- Run monthly RCCP analysis with strategic suppliers to prevent customer disruptions and drive weekly process improvements.
- Oversee NPI projects, ensuring full BOM coverage with the supply base.
- Identify No Source components and new vendors, and allocate to the team for action.
- Build strong relationships with Garrett plants and suppliers, and analyze inventory movement between factories.
- Ensure correct integration of demand and escalate IT issues that impact forecast accuracy.
- Lead daily operations to support regular activities and ensure Global Vendor Planning metrics meet AOP & STRAP objectives.
- Proactively identify and escalate potential issues that could impact the supply chain.
Supplier Crisis Management
- Lead regional Supplier Issues meetings and approve Red Alerts (L0 and L1).
- Manage daily crisis operations, coordinating Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers, plants, quality, transportation, and customer teams.
- Visit suppliers on-site during crises to address issues and support COPQ recovery.
- Forecast and track Premium Freight spend, sending weekly reports to stakeholders.
- Allocate team resources and prioritize tasks during crisis situations.
Supplier Development
- Manage past-due components, ensuring they remain below 10%, and improve forecast accuracy.
- Implement SIOP with strategic suppliers and standardize MRP parameters.
- Reduce Premium Freight costs by 5% annually and minimize obsolete materials.
- Achieve 100% ANS penetration with all suppliers and support transportation mode change projects (e.g., air to sea).
- Strengthen relationships with suppliers to improve performance and collaboration.
People Management
- Conduct performance assessments (MRR, PDS) and development plans for direct reports.
- Drive skills development, succession planning, and talent retention within the team.
- Align team objectives with Garrett's supply chain strategy, cascading performance targets and monitoring progress.
- Focus on standardization and best practices to improve team effectiveness and coordination.
- Forecast team resource needs and budget impacts.
Health, Security, Environment, and Emergency Situations
- Individual Responsibilities: Adhere to health and safety protocols, prevent accidents, and use protective equipment. Respond to emergencies (e.g., fires, accidents) in accordance with safety procedures.
- Managerial Responsibilities: Monitor HSE targets, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and implement preventative measures. Oversee training, medical fitness, and evacuation plans for team members.

Profile
A successful 'Global Vendor Planning Manager' should have:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, supply chain or economics
- 5+ years working experience with MRP or ERP systems
- 5+ years experience working within the industrial manufacturing space
- Strong background in vendor management and strategic planning.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Ability to analyze data and forecast trends.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
