M&A Associate Attorney

This role involves advising on a broad spectrum of domestic and cross‑border M&A transactions, including private equity and private target deals. You will work closely with experienced deal teams in a supportive, client‑focused environment committed to high‑quality execution.

Description

• Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and documentation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on corporate governance and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client objectives.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop and implement legal strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations impacting the industry.
• Support business development initiatives and client relationship management.

Profile

A successful candidate should have:

• Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions law and practices.
• A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Illinois State Bar.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
