Plant Manager

This Plant Manager role oversees all aspects of daily food manufacturing operations, driving productivity, quality, and compliance while leading cross-functional teams. The position requires a hands-on leader with strong lean manufacturing expertise and a track record of improving performance and developing team capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Description

• Oversee all aspects of daily production, ensuring productivity, minimal waste, and schedule adherence
• Track and analyze KPIs, establish plant goals, and implement long-term strategic initiatives
• Maintain equipment functionality and operational readiness
• Ensure job-specific training and cross-functional team development
• Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving across all departments
• Uphold strict compliance with USDA, FDA, GMP, HACCP, SOP, OSHA, and other relevant standards
• Conduct regular team meetings and trainings for supervisors and leads
• Partner with HR on employee development and performance management
• Collaborate with sales and costing teams to ensure product profitability
• Lead and support company budgeting efforts within operations
• Coordinate with QA and Sanitation teams to uphold product safety and quality

Profile

• 5+ yrs in a Plant Manager role within food manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
• Strong knowledge of safety and labor regulations
• Lean Six Sigma belt is required
• Demonstrated formal Lean background required
• Willingness to rotate shifts as needed
• Experience with food manufacturing equipment
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word in particular)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
