Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing multiple projects in various locations, touring sites daily during construction
  • Participating in the design process providing budget, schedule, and construct-ability input
  • Reviewing and interpreting plans & specifications
  • Managing relationships and interfacing with appropriate personnel on a daily basis
  • Preparing requests for proposals, analyzing/aligning bids, making award recommendation
  • Negotiating and preparing construction & consultant contracts
  • Providing day-to-day management, technical direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities
  • Reviewing and tracking project invoices, RFIs, Submitals, Budgets
  • Developing, managing, and updating project schedule
  • Evaluating and negotiating pay requests and change orders
  • Working with property management team
  • Leading regularly scheduled meetings
  • Administering punch list and project close-out activities
  • Reporting project status regularly

Profile

The right Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (preferred)
  • 2+ years of Commercial Construction Assistant Project Management experience
  • Demonstrates good judgement and professionalism
  • Handle multiple tasks in an organized manner
  • Produce quality work on strict deadlines
  • Strong technical abilities with construction systems
  • Experience managing a team of design/construction professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • LEED certification (plus)
