A highly reputable general contractor in Colorado that focuses on the development of its employees, career growth, leadership opportunities. This general contractor has a growing portfolio and is excited to bring on a few additional people to the team including a Superintendent with at least 5 years of experience leading federal construction projects.
Description
As the Traveling Superintendent - Federal Construction, you will report to the Field Operations Manager and work as an equal partner with the Project Manager to successfully deliver projects from start-up through closeout.- Lead on-site execution of federal construction projects from mobilization through punch list and turnover.
- Develop, implement, and update the project baseline schedule and three-week look aheads, driving trade performance to meet milestones.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring OSHA and site-specific compliance and conducting pre-construction safety meetings with all subcontractors.
- Manage quality benchmarks, inspections, and documentation to meet or exceed federal and client standards throughout all phases.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, site logistics, and field office setup, maintaining professional, efficient, and compliant job sites.
- Chair and attend coordination, safety, subcontractor, and owner meetings, clearly communicating progress, risks, and solutions.
- Complete daily reports, maintain logs and as-built drawings, review subcontractor pay applications, and support accurate project closeout.
Profile
The Successful Applicant:For the Traveling Superintendent - Federal Construction we are seeking:
- At least 5+ years' experience as a Lead Superintendent on federal construction projects.
- Proven track record delivering $10M+ projects, including work with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
- Strong background in site development, utilities, site improvements, and grading.
- Deep understanding of federal specifications, quality control processes, and safety regulations on government projects.
- Proficiency with P6 scheduling, Timberline, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills, with the ability to coach and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites and work full time in the field.
Job Offer
What's on Offer:- Competitive base salary in the range of $95,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
