Manufacturing Manager- Medical Device- Providence, RI
A leading innovator in the medical technology space is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to lead operations within a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader with a strong background in medical device and component manufacturing.

A global medical technology organization specializing in devices and software that support emergency care and critical patient management. Its solutions are used to treat cardiac and respiratory conditions, improve resuscitation outcomes, and streamline clinical workflows. The company serves hospitals, EMS providers, and first responders with products ranging from defibrillation and monitoring systems to data management platforms and therapeutic devices.
Description
- Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple manufacturing lines to ensure timely, high-quality output.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that drive safety, compliance, operational efficiency, and cost control.
- Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams to build a high-performance culture.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, OSHA) and internal quality systems.
- Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Inventory teams to resolve production challenges and support new product introductions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability for meeting production goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment aligned with company standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions to uphold product and process integrity.

Profile
A successful Manufacturing Manager should have:
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, with at least 3 years in a medical device or regulated industry.
- Proven success managing high-mix production environments.
- Strong understanding of component-level manufacturing processes (e.g., plastics, electronics, assemblies).
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing metrics (OEE, yield, throughput). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
