Product Development Engineer - HPC - Lawrence, MA
The Product Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and validating advanced power‑conversion reference designs and system‑level solutions for next‑generation voltage regulator applications. This role provides hands‑on exposure to new products and technologies while contributing to simulation models, application tools, and customer‑driven system architectures. Client Details

Its engineering teams collaborate closely to push technology boundaries while supporting customers with innovative, high‑efficiency power‑conversion platforms. Description
You will report directly into the Senior Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Working independently and collaboratively to design voltage‑regulator systems and customer‑specific reference designs
- Architecting complete power‑conversion systems based on customer requirements and supporting design‑in, bring‑up, and validation
- Writing detailed specifications and coordinating with design engineering teams to ensure alignment with customer needs
- Designing, simulating, prototyping, testing, and optimizing custom circuitry
- Conducting system‑level bench testing and documenting performance results
- Developing reference designs, evaluation boards, and technical collateral
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities across engineering and applications teams
- Troubleshooting and optimizing customer systems using advanced power‑conversion products
- Demonstrating system prototypes and solutions to customers
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics design, product development, or applications engineering
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline (master's degree a plus)
- Experience designing power supplies or working with power components
- An understanding of analog design principles and feedback/control systems
- Experience troubleshooting power circuits and system‑level behaviors
- VR specifications, high performance computing power requirements, and automotive manufacturing skills a plus
- Experience using modeling and design tools such as MATLAB Simulink, SPICE, Simplis, Simetrix, or Altium
