Superintendent, Commercial Interiors - New York, NY
As Superintendent, you'll oversee the daily site operations and ensure seamless execution of projects from mobilization through closeout. You'll work closely with Project Managers and leadership, owning schedule, site coordination, and subcontractor performance. We're working with a dynamic and fast-growing commercial interiors general contractor based in Midtown Manhattan. With a strong portfolio of repeat clients and projects in the $1-5M range, the firm is hiring a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-end corporate interior renovations across NYC.
Description
- Manage daily field operations on commercial interior projects ranging from $1M-$5M
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and site logistics
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with DOB and OSHA regulations
- Communicate daily progress with project teams and proactively address issues or delays
- Conduct site inspections and prepare daily reports and project documentation
- Represent the company on-site with professionalism and a solution-focused approach
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial interior projects in NYC
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, safety, and scheduling
- Experience coordinating multiple trades in tight, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards
- OSHA 30 required
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents
