Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing
The Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing will play a pivotal role in supporting clients with commercial real estate transactions and leasing within an established full service real estate boutique law firm based in Dumbo, Brooklyn (in office 3 days-week). This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on matters, providing legal expertise with direct access to clients.

Description
As Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing, responsibilities include:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lease agreements, purchase agreements, and other real estate-related contracts.
- Provide legal advice to clients on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
- Conduct due diligence, including title and survey reviews, to identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee closings for real estate transactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments affecting real estate and leasing practices.
- Work with and support the Transactions & Leasing Group Partner with complex real estate matters.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all legal matters handled.

Profile
The successful Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing should have:
- A Juris Doctor degree from a US accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York bar.
- At least 4 years experience handling varied commercial real estate matters e.g. transactions, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, real estate developments, condominium and cooperative formations and buy-sell, construction/ design contracts, corporate governance, mortgage and mezzanine financing.
- Exceptional client ethos and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently
Job Offer
The successful Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing will benefit from:
- Base salary of $200,000 - $250,000, depending on experience with additional discretionary and performance bonuses.
- Annual billable hour target set at a manageable 1700 hours, excellent work-life-balance.
