Project Manager- Public Projects
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead public-sector construction projects for a well-established general contractor based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role will manage schools, municipal, and federal projects, ensuring successful delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

Description
Manage all phases of public construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change management.
Coordinate with public agencies, architects, engineers, inspectors, and consultants.
Ensure compliance with public-sector requirements including procurement procedures, reporting, and documentation.
Lead subcontractor buyout, negotiations, and contract administration.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively, and mitigate risks.
Maintain clear communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and quality requirements.
Profile
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager working for a general contractor on public-sector projects.
Proven experience delivering K-12 schools, municipal buildings, and/or federal projects.
Strong understanding of public procurement processes, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project environments.
Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Primavera, or MS Project.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
