Project Manager - Retail Construction
This is a rare chance to become a key site leader for an established commercial general contractor launching a new market in Denver. As Superintendent, you will run ground-up retail projects for an owner-developer with a secured pipeline, playing a vital role in setting standards, safety, and culture on the ground.

As the Project Manager - Commercial / Ground-Up Retail, you will report into a regional leadership team based in the Southeast and act as the key project lead in the Denver metro area.You will:
- Own cradle-to-grave delivery of multiple ground-up and retail projects across the Denver metro area
- Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Coordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and design partners to drive quality, safety, and productivity
- Act as the face of the business locally, building strong relationships with franchise partners and repeat corporate clients
- Prepare and manage budgets, change orders, and cost reports with a strong focus on project profitability
- Champion a values-driven, safety-first, and collaborative culture as the Denver team grows
- Help shape local processes, standards, and hiring as operations expand and a physical office is established
Profile
For the Project Manager - Commercial / Ground-Up Retail we are seeking:- 5-10 years' experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, ideally with ground-up retail or small-box programs
- Proven track record delivering multi-site or repeat client programs (e.g. automotive service, QSR, banking, education, or similar)
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance
- Comfortable operating with autonomy as part of a small, start-up style regional team while plugged into a stable, established contractor
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to represent the company with owners, franchisees, and vendors
- High integrity, safety-minded, and aligned with a values-based, relationship-focused culture
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Denver metro area with the ability to visit project sites at least weekly
Job Offer
What's on Offer:- Base salary: Approximately $100,000 - $120,000, with flexibility for an exceptional Project Manager
- Bonus: Significant upside, with annual incentives typically in the $20,000 - $50,000 range, tied to project profitability and performance
