Client Details

Our client is a rapidly scaling advanced manufacturing company developing specialized components for highly regulated, high‑performance applications. Their technology is recognized as industry‑shaping, with a mission centered on precision, innovation, and environmental impact reduction.

Description

  • Lead front‑line QC operations across Burlington and Cleveland, ensuring consistent execution, shift coverage, and on‑time inspections.
  • Monitor daily workloads, redistribute resources across sites, and assist with inspections when needed to keep production flowing smoothly.
  • Own key QC metrics including yield, defects, rework, and turnaround time-using data to inform priorities and drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to set QC priorities aligned with shipping targets and operational goals.
  • Establish clear expectations for QC technicians, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement corrective or coaching measures.
  • Develop and maintain structured Level 1-3 QC technician qualifications-including training, skills assessments, and progression paths.
  • Standardize inspection methods and documentation to ensure consistent decision-making across both sites.
  • Communicate inspection findings, nonconformances, and process issues to engineering, production, and repair teams.
  • Support and improve the AS9100-aligned QMS, including internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Contribute to change management, new product introduction, and process validation from a QMS perspective.
  • Provide QMS training and guidance across departments and levels.
  • Travel occasionally between Burlington and Cleveland as needed.

Profile

  • Must meet U.S. Person requirements under export control regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace Engineering, or similar-or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, ceramics, or other highly regulated production environments.
  • Proven leadership experience within QC, inspection, or manufacturing; multi‑site oversight experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection, NDT methods, and precision measurement tools.
  • Skilled in GD&T, CAD platforms, and comfortable working within PLM/ECO systems.
  • Fluent in creating and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and inspection documentation.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify trends and resolve systemic issues.
  • Certifications such as CQE or CQA are helpful but not required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, working in PPE, and navigating lab/production environments.

Job Offer

  • Opportunity to lead quality operations for advanced manufacturing supporting next‑generation aerospace technology.
  • Work in a rapidly growing environment where processes, teams, and systems are still being developed and shaped.
  • High visibility and influence across both tactical QC operations and strategic QMS initiatives.
  • Collaborative culture with strong cross‑functional interaction between engineering, operations, and leadership.
  • Competitive compensation package that includes bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and professional development opportunities.
