Continuous Improvement Manager - Aerospace - Amherst, NH
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and drive process improvements across the organization using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. This role will focus on fostering a culture of continuous improvement by training employees, facilitating cross-functional projects, and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize performance at our Amherst, NH facility6.

Description
The Continuous Improvement Manager, Aerospace Castings will:
- Serve as a change agent to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collect and analyze operational data (e.g., cycle time, yield, throughput) to identify priorities and implement improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Develop and facilitate value stream mapping to identify and eliminate waste, improving quality, cost, and delivery.
- Lead and support the implementation of process changes, cost-reduction initiatives, and 5S programs, including audits and Gemba walks.
- Train and mentor employees at all levels on Lean principles, tools, and techniques.
- Plan, facilitate, and lead cross-functional improvement events (e.g., Kaizen, Kaikaku, Six Sigma).
- Collaborate with leadership to align improvement initiatives with business goals and manage Lean Steering Committees.
- Recommend and implement strategies to improve operational performance and value-added ratios.
- Oversee process improvement projects, including timelines, budgets, tool selection, and results analysis.
- Utilize advanced statistical analysis tools to evaluate processes and outcomes.
- Manage and motivate teams, including trainers and Operational Excellence leaders, across multiple facilities.
- Ensure organizational adherence to deadlines, project goals, and continuous improvement priorities.
- Be onsite at our Amherst, NH facility
Profile
- Proven ability to facilitate, motivate, and engage groups at all organizational levels to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong team player with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, castings / die casting or foundries preferred
- Technically proficient and respected for expertise by peers.
- Certification or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in driving organizational change and development.
- Formal education in a relevant discipline; technical BS/BA required, Master's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in operating systems, spreadsheet creation, databases, presentation software, and word processing programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement principles and tools.
- Ability to balance technical and interpersonal skills to support cultural transformation.
- Local to Amherst, NH or open to relocation
