Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to optimize the reliability, efficiency, and performance of manufacturing equipment and processes. This role is responsible for developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, analyzing equipment failures, and improving overall asset reliability to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. Description
The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance (PM & PdM) programs to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance equipment performance.
- Lead the implementation of condition-based monitoring (CBM) techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and develop corrective action plans.
- Identify and implement improvements in equipment design, materials, and maintenance practices.
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce maintenance costs.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment history, work orders, and spare parts inventory using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Develop and manage equipment lifecycle plans to optimize asset utilization and replacement schedules.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure best practices in equipment maintenance and spare parts management.
- Lead maintenance and reliability improvement projects, including upgrades and process optimizations.
- Train and mentor maintenance personnel on best practices in reliability engineering and equipment troubleshooting.
- Support capital projects by providing input on equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
Profile
The ideal Maintenance and Reliability Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or asset management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, lubrication analysis).
- Proficiency in CMMS software (SAP PM, Maximo, or similar) for tracking maintenance activities and performance.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodologies.
- Understanding of PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment is a plus.
- Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE) are a plus.
Job Offer
The successful Maintenance and Reliability Engineer - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $70,000-$110,000 depending on experience
