Assistant Superintendent

Looking for an Assistant Superintendent with ground-up experience in Indianapolis, IN who is looking to grow with a top GC in the area. Projects include commercial, light industrial, and higher education with values ranging from $10M - $50M.

My client is a highly reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis area that focuses on the development of its employees, career growth, leadership opportunities. This general contractor has a growing portfolio and is excited to bring on a few additional people to the team including an Assistant Superintendent to assist with field work.

Description

• Walk the job site and check in with subcontractors (subs) under supervision of the Senior Super
• Check and manage the daily construction schedule
• Ensure the site is clean and safe at the end of each day
• Participate in 'Stretch Inflexions' (daily stretching exercises to prevent injuries and track worker health)
• Monitor all field work - look over trades and subs
• Develop daily and weekly plans and procedures for the site with the Superintendent onsite
• Help create and manage a 3-6 week look-ahead schedule to plan upcoming tasks
• Coordinate with the project management team
• Keep daily logs and upload photos to Procore
• Communicate necessary changes for change orders

Profile

• Ground up experience is a plus
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications required
• 2-5 years of experience as a constructionproject engineer or assistant superintendent
• Ability to work with clients
• Experience with preconstruction planning
• Willingness to learn and grow in the space
