Product Engineer l Lighting Manufacturer

Our client is looking for a Product Engineer to play a key role in ensuring our client's lighting products are expertly designed, engineered, and optimized for performance, cost-efficiency, and durability. They support our client by driving innovation and ensuring all products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations from concept through to production.

Description

  • Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with design, manufacturing, and supply chain requirements.
  • Manage and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in a timely and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to implement changes and resolve product-related issues.
  • Support product lifecycle management (PLM) activities, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining engineering documentation, specifications, and standards.
  • Participate in cost-reduction initiatives by identifying and implementing material or design improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Provide technical support for existing products, including root cause analysis and resolution of engineering issues.

Profile

A successful Product Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in working with BOMs and ECRs
  • Experience in product development and testing processes.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
