Supplier Quality Engineer | Lisle, IL
The Supplier Quality Engineer will sit on the quality team out of the location near Lisle, IL. This role will work closely with the Quality Manager to develop suppliers and improve performance and relationships.
Client Details
Our client is a manufacturer of electronic components serving both the aerospace and medical device industry. Their product is used in critical devices in both industries, and quality is at the forefront of everything they do. With their developed team, they are looking for a supplier quality engineer to lead both internal and external projects.
Description
- Handling day-to-day design, supplier, production, and customer quality issues related to production lines
- Resolving non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
- Assist with internal audits to help the company maintain ISO 13485 compliance
- Lead internal IQ/OQ/PQ process
- Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
- Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process
- Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
- Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
- Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes
Profile
- 5+ years of Supplier quality engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
- Understanding of Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniques
- Experience with developing suppliers through KPIs and external audits
- Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in Medical Device, Aerospace, or Automotive industries
Job Offer
- Base salary up to $110,000 depending on experience and interview performance
- 6-7% annual bonus
