The Director of Recruiting will lead the firmwide strategy for attorney and business professional recruitment, ensuring alignment with long-term growth, market positioning, and talent priorities. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with deep market insight and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Description

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies across all offices and levels, aligned with practice group and business needs.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
  • Partner with Firm Leadership, Practice Group Leaders, and Hiring Committees to ensure recruiting efforts support succession planning, retention, and business development goals.
  • Lead and mentor the recruiting team to drive performance and innovation.
  • Analyze legal market trends, peer firm practices, and compensation data to anticipate hiring needs and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with law schools, search firms, and professional organizations to enhance visibility and outreach.
  • Monitor key recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.

Profile

A successful Director of Recruiting should have:

  • Bachelors degree (required).
  • Minimum of 10 years recruitment experience within the legal industry or similar (required).
  • Proven expertise in recruitment strategies, particularly within the professional services industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of current market trends and recruitment best practices.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
