FIX Onboarding and Production Support SME, Equities

We seek a FIX Onboarding and Production Support SME to support equity products across high touch and low touch workflows, with a strong focus on FIX gateway management and client onboarding. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience, strong communication skills with both business and technical teams, and familiarity with trade matching solutions to help drive front, middle, and back office initiatives.

Description

• Deliver technical and development support for internal teams, external clients, and vendors using FIX (4.2/4.4) across e-trading, pricing, and STP for multiple asset classes, while ensuring smooth onboarding, testing, and production support aligned with business goals.

• Collaborate closely with clients, trading desks, and external vendors to gather FIX onboarding requirements, configure sessions, troubleshoot integration issues, and support production environments, including providing third-level support and maintaining thorough documentation.

• Contribute to platform enhancements by incorporating client and business feedback, coordinating application and FIX configuration releases, and working across agile teams to deliver end-to-end features and system improvements.

• Develop and maintain operational tools and procedures for system administration, backup, disaster recovery, and performance monitoring, while promoting continuous process improvement and knowledge sharing within the OMS trade support team.

Profile

• Leverage 5+ years of hands-on experience with FIX protocols to analyze and support complex equity order flows, with a deep understanding of FIX tags specific to equities and their role in order routing and trade lifecycle events.

• Apply strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Java) to develop automation tools and troubleshoot FIX message flows, enhancing efficiency in onboarding and production support processes.

• Utilize expertise in Linux system administration and configuration management tools to maintain a stable and secure FIX infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and message processing.

• Demonstrate excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of FIX-related issues, maintain accurate records, and deliver timely resolutions.

• Communicate effectively across technical and business teams, managing time independently while also contributing to collaborative efforts, with a strong focus on documentation and continuous process improvement.
