Chief Financial Officer - Construction
Are you a Construction Finance Leader with a proven track record of growing mid-sized Construction companies? Are you an expert at using systems like Sage300/Timberline? Can you partner with Executive Leadership to develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth and long term profitability goals? Client Details
Our client is in the Construction/Professional Services sector located in the Greater Boston Area. The position is 5 days a week in the office.
Description
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team on financial performance and opportunities for growth.
- Oversee the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business models.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and proactively manage variances.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Identify financial risks and implement effective controls to mitigate them.
- Oversee insurance, bonding, and legal compliance related to construction projects and company operations.
- Manage the finance and accounting team, fostering professional development and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers to analyze job costing, profitability, and cash flow management.
- Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and funding strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, bonding companies, and other financial stakeholders.
- Partner with the leadership team on key business initiatives, client expansion, and diversification of services.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and tools to enhance decision-making and reporting accuracy.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Degree
- CPA/Master's Degree Preferred
- 15 - 20+ years of Construction Accounting Tenure Essential
- 10+ years in a Top Finance Leader Position
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with Executive and Operational Leadership
- Systems: Sage300/Timberline, Procore or similar Construction Softwares
Job Offer
- Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000+
- Annual bonus eligibility
