The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring safety and compliance. This role involves designing new processes, troubleshooting production issues, managing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Description

  • Process Development & Optimization: Lead the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment. Continuously refine and optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline production.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Proactively address production challenges such as equipment malfunctions, quality issues, and delays. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Take the lead or support efforts in planning and executing manufacturing projects, including new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and report production data to track performance, identify trends, and propose actionable improvements. Utilize Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other methodologies to drive efficiency.
  • Equipment & Facility Support: Oversee the functionality and upkeep of all manufacturing equipment, coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and prevent disruptions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with R&D, quality control, and production teams to ensure smooth integration of new products into manufacturing workflows. Provide technical expertise on product design modifications.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all processes, equipment specifications, and process improvements are documented accurately, adhering to company and regulatory standards.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ Years manufacturing experience
  • Machine Shop background (Welding + Machining)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Electro-mechanical technical knowledge
