The Senior Director/ Contracts Manager In-House Counsel role is a key role in the legal department of this prestigious Manhattan real estate developed. Specializing in real estate property contracts and agreements, commercial and residential leases - great new role for an In-House Counsel with 5+ years relevant real estate legal experience.

Description
Varied role as Senior Director/ Contracts Manager In-House Counsel includes:
- Oversee the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of commercial and residential property contracts and agreements.
- Ensure all contracts comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Advise on legal matters impacting the company's property portfolio.
- Collaborate with other departments, stakeholders and coworkers in other brands to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Manage external legal counsel relationships.
- Lead and mentor a team of five legal professionals (legal/ contract administrators and paralegals).

Profile
The successful Senior Director/ Contracts Manager In-House Counsel should have:
- A law degree from an accredited ABA university.
- New York State Bar (in good standing).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in commercial and residential real estate contract law.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to property.
- Excellent written skills, strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team, previous line management experience essential.
- Ability to strategically align legal and business objectives and communicate legal matters clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
