Project Costing Accounting Manager - Lisle, IL
I'm partnered with the CFO at a high growth, leading manufacturer of world-class products looking to bring on a Cost Analyst to their team! As the Cost Analyst, you will have full ownership of the cost accounting function, while gaining exposure to various aspect of the business. The Cost Analyst will serve as a key business partner with various teams across the organization, supporting cost accounting related activities.
- Remote working opportunities (2-3 days work from home)
- Work from anywhere during the winter months!

I'm partnered with the CFO at a $500M, leading manufacturer & supplier of specialty sorbent products. They service a wide variety of industries, ranging from pet care & animal health/nutrition to agricultural ingredients. This client is a market leader in their space and is now looking to bring another Cost Analyst to their Team!
Description
Cost Analyst Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational aspects of the cost accounting system
- Scrutinize the financial performance of manufacturing activities, identifying deviations and initiating corrective measures to rectify adverse discrepancies in plant operations.
- Evaluate intricate data and analytics from consolidated and comprehensive sources, ensuring their accuracy and supplying relevant information to facilitate the decision-making process.
- Generate timely and error-free plant reports, adhering to established business and departmental standards for reporting. Ensure these reports are prepared in accordance with both internal and external guidelines and policies.
- Unearth opportunities for enhancing cost-efficiency.
- Input various inventory and cost-related journal entries during the monthly closing procedures in the United States.
- Participate in the formulation of benchmarks for material, labor, and overhead costs.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong cost and manufacturing experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
