Construction Manager/Project Manager

$150,000 - $180,000/Year

Our client is looking for a talented Project Manager or Construction Manager who will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

Client Details

Our client is a new CM Firm that has been in business over 10 years. They are very quickly growing, and currently involved in numerous high profile projects in the K12/DSA space. They are seeking a Project Manager or Construction Manager candidate with extensive experience, hungry to learn and willing to grow. Projects are throughout the Contra Costa Area.

Description

  • Provide project leadership and establish, implement and support a proactive project safety culture
  • Manage the development and review of bid packages to procure competitive subcontract proposals
  • Manage job-site subcontractor meetings to ensure that the project goals are met
  • Review monthly invoices and oversees documentation and approval needed to ensure timely funding for the project
  • Lead the management of cost reporting including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, and scope revisions to achieve defined project goals
  • Ensure overall financial health of the project and project forecasts
  • Represent our client in the subcontract negotiations

Profile

  • 3+ years of Construction or Construction Management as Project Manager or Construction Manager
  • 3+ years of K12/DSA Project Experience
  • Must have commercial ground up or TI project experience
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details
  • Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients
  • Preferred, not required - Technical construction degree (Construction Management, engineering, etc.)

Job Offer

  • Base salary of $150,000 to $180,000 experience dependent
