Quality Manager | Metal Fab
Join a leading metal fabrication team as a Quality Manager within the engineering and manufacturing department. This role focuses on ensuring top-notch quality standards in metal fabrication while driving continuous improvement across the production process.

Our client is an Ohio-based manufacturer specializing in precision sheet metal fabrication, fabricated metal components, and full-service contract manufacturing for major OEM customers. Description
- Maintain a high standard of internal and external customer service by investigating, resolving, and preventing quality-related issues and complaints.
- Supervise inspection and testing personnel to ensure strong productivity, accuracy, and technical compliance.
- Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical data and product specifications to define quality standards and reliability expectations.
- Provide daily leadership and facilitation during Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) meetings.
- Establish, document, and maintain quality control standards and ongoing quality objectives.
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional leadership to align quality objectives with manufacturing processes, optimizing reliability while minimizing cost.
- Develop, document, and implement inspection criteria, methods, and procedures across operations.
- Communicate and reinforce the organization's quality philosophy and expectations to key stakeholders.
- Oversee and support inspection activities throughout all stages of the production life cycle.
- Apply Total Quality Management (TQM) tools and methodologies to analytical, reporting, and improvement efforts.
- Partner with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure the quality and compliance of all incoming materials and components.
- Define and oversee testing activities in collaboration with Engineering as required.
- Actively participate in internal continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Design, develop, and deliver quality control training programs to support organizational needs.
Profile
A successful Quality Manager should have:
- Strong background with AIAG Core Tools
- ISO 9001:2015 QMS experience
- Strong problem solving experience utilizing 8D, RCCA & 5 Why methodologies
- Collaboration with top management, peers, the quality team and all staff
- Be able to interpret manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, GD&T, problem solving
- Experience with welding, press brakes, laser, powder coating
- Proficient in MS Office
Job Offer
