Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will oversee month end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, and assist with budgeting and compliance to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting function within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This role is based in Portland, TX and requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in accounting practices.

Description
- As the Accounting Manager you will lead in the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee the AP team for the business unit.
- Work with the CFO and support the budget and forecasting process to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals to achieve departmental goals.
- Monitor SOX, internal controls and implement improvements as needed.
- Work with the external and internal auditors on any issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support operational objectives.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Help with any ERP system upgrades and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the accounting function.

Job Offer
