Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the organization's day-to-day financial operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Payroll. This individual will ensure timely processing of vendor payments, maintain payroll records, and support the broader finance team with reconciliations and reporting.

Description
Process and code vendor invoices; ensure timely and accurate payment
Prepare and review biweekly or semi-monthly payroll
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with state/federal requirements
Reconcile AP and payroll accounts monthly
Assist with month-end close and journal entries
Support audits and grant reporting as needed
Communicate with vendors and staff regarding payment or payroll inquiries
Profile
2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Payroll processes
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MIP, Paychex, ADP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
