Description
- Reporting directly to the Director of Estimating
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure optimal pricing and resource availability.
- Participate in project planning, value engineering, and risk assessment to support successful project execution.
- Manage the bidding process, including soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Present cost estimates and proposals to internal teams and clients with clarity and confidence.
Profile
The Construction Estimator will possess:
- 5+ years experience as an estimator
- Experience estimating life science, healthcare, commercial, retail or academic projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools; experience with Procore, bluebeam, P6 or similar systems is a plus.
- Resides within commuting distance of Quincy, MA, and has familiarity with the Greater Boston construction market.
Job Offer
The Construction Estimator will receive:
- Compensation up to $145,000 (depending on experience)
