Education Construction Superintendent

Create and execute project preplanning activities with subcontractors. Coordinate subcontractors, architects, inspectors and suppliers to resolve any problems with materials or methods. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules

Description

• Oversee every phase of site construction, from project initiation to the completion of the punch list.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns as assigned.
• Ensure quality control and safety protocols are documented and upheld, creating a secure work environment for all involved.
• Review and interpret project drawings and specifications with precision.
• Maintain detailed records of job site activities through comprehensive daily reports, including photographs.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with local inspectors and code enforcement officials.
• Secure all required inspections to achieve final permit approvals and certificates of occupancy.

Profile

• Hands-on experience with ground-up projects in K-12 or Higher Education construction.
• Expertise in Healthcare, Education, Multi-Family, Senior Living, and Mixed-Use projects is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership skills with exceptional communication abilities, strong organizational aptitude, and a talent for motivating teams.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks, analyzing and solving complex problems, assessing team strengths and weaknesses, and providing targeted training to enhance team performance.
• Outstanding teaching and mentoring capabilities to support team growth and development.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mathematics and computer skills is essential for success in this role.
