Description
We are seeking a Civil Project Manager/Estimator who will play a critical role in overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects with a predominant civil scope. You will manage all phases of construction from estimating and project initiation through to closeout, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining quality and safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the civil division.
The Project Manager / Estimator - Civil Projects - Northern VA will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the full construction process, from estimating and contract negotiation to project closeout.
- Develop and maintain cost estimates for earthwork, grading, stormwater, utilities, and site finishes.
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify and pursue new opportunities, preparing cost proposals and submissions.
- Manage the financial and operational aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop a team of project managers, estimators, and field staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards on all projects.
Profile
The Project Manager / Estimator - Civil Projects - Northern VA will have the following qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (8-10 years of experience in the civil construction industry, or 15+ years of directly related experience without a degree).
- Strong experience estimating and managing both self-performed and subcontracted civil work.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications, and USACE/NAVFAC CQC certification required.
- A commitment to high-quality standards, safety, and ongoing professional development.
Job Offer
The Project Manager / Estimator - Civil Projects - Northern VA will receive:
- Competitive Salary of $100,000 to $130,000 depending on experience
- Bonus: 10-12.5% performance-based bonus
