Construction Superintendent - Ground Up K12 Education
Our client is seeking an experiences SUperintendent to join the team in helping manage ground up education projects. Specififcally K12 focused, with projects at or larger then $20M in total value. This Superintendent can be based in the SE and will offer per diem to accomodate the travel requirements to the job site..

Description
- Oversee all phases of ground-up construction for K-12 school projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Manage daily on-site operations, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
- Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and budgets, proactively addressing delays or cost issues.
- Ensure compliance with school district requirements, building codes, and local regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve design or construction challenges.
- Lead progress meetings with stakeholders and provide accurate reporting on project status.
- Oversee material procurement and delivery to keep the project on schedule.
- Manage and mentor field staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Handle change orders and document all project modifications accurately.
Profile
- Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects for K-12 schools from start to finish.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of school district requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Skilled in subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and resource management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills for resolving on-site challenges.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and reporting tools.
- Commitment to jobsite safety and fostering a culture of compliance.
- Ability to handle change orders and documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Track record of building positive relationships with clients, architects, and engineers.
