We're looking for a driven Assistant Project Manager to support high‑end retail interior projects throughout Manhattan. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and wants hands‑on exposure to luxury retail construction from start to finish.

Client Details

Our client is a mid‑sized commercial interiors general contractor with a strong presence in Manhattan's high‑end retail market. Known for delivering polished flagship stores and boutique spaces, they pride themselves on quality, organization, and long‑standing relationships with top brands and designers.

Description

    • Support Project Managers on high‑end retail interior projects from preconstruction through closeout.
    • Assist with schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and change order documentation.
    • Coordinate with architects, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
    • Track procurement of long‑lead items and ensure timely delivery to site.
    • Attend project meetings and help resolve issues to keep projects moving smoothly.

Profile

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

    • Experience working on commercial high‑end retail interior projects.
    • Strong understanding of interior construction processes, finishes, and sequencing.
    • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
    • Confident communicator who works well with both office and field teams.
    • Proactive, dependable, and motivated to advance into a full Project Manager role.
