Construction - Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY
Client Details
Our client is a mid‑sized commercial interiors general contractor with a strong presence in Manhattan's high‑end retail market. Known for delivering polished flagship stores and boutique spaces, they pride themselves on quality, organization, and long‑standing relationships with top brands and designers.Description
- Support Project Managers on high‑end retail interior projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Assist with schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and change order documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
- Track procurement of long‑lead items and ensure timely delivery to site.
- Attend project meetings and help resolve issues to keep projects moving smoothly.
Profile
A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:
- Experience working on commercial high‑end retail interior projects.
- Strong understanding of interior construction processes, finishes, and sequencing.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
- Confident communicator who works well with both office and field teams.
- Proactive, dependable, and motivated to advance into a full Project Manager role.
