Description
The Structural Concrete Estimator - Top ENR Firm - Maryland will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural concrete scopes including foundations, slabs, walls, columns, and elevated decks.
- Performing quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings using digital estimating tools.
- Soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing and scope coverage.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field teams to align estimates with construction means and methods.
- Participating in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and risks.
- Maintaining and updating historical cost data and unit pricing for future reference.
- Assisting in value engineering efforts and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Reviewing bid documents and specifications to ensure compliance and completeness.
- Supporting the development of budgets, change orders, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

Profile
The Structural Concrete Estimator - Top ENR Firm - Maryland will have:
- 3-8 years of experience in estimating for structural concrete projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete systems including cast-in-place, post-tensioning, rebar, and formwork.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with local market conditions, subcontractor base, and material pricing in the Mid-Atlantic region.
