Michael Page Manhattan, NY (Onsite) Full-Time
$120,000 - $140,000/Year

Lead the on-site execution of high-end commercial interior buildouts across Manhattan, driving schedule, safety, and quality from mobilization through punchlist. As the superintendent, you'll orchestrate field operations, subcontractors, and inspections to deliver flawless office and workplace interiors on tight timelines.

Client Details

Our client is a respected commercial interiors general contractor with a strong Manhattan footprint, known for precision, professionalism, and seamless delivery of complex office and corporate interiors. They prioritize collaboration, clear communication, and a field-first culture that empowers superintendents to run clean, safe, and efficient jobs.

Description

  • Own day-to-day site operations: plan work, coordinate trades, and run daily huddles to keep schedule and quality on track.
  • Enforce safety standards (JHAs, PPE, site logistics, housekeeping) and lead weekly toolbox talks.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, track manpower and deliveries, and manage short-interval schedules and look-aheads.
  • Review drawings and submittals; proactively identify clashes and field conditions, escalating RFIs and solutions quickly.
  • Coordinate inspections (DOB, fire alarm, sprinkler, TCO/CO), ensure compliance with NYC regulations, and manage punchlist to closeout.
  • Partner closely with the PM on change orders, sequencing, and material procurement to avoid delays.
  • Uphold quality control: mockups, pre-install meetings, and stringent finish standards for high-visibility interiors.

Profile

  • A seasoned superintendent with 5-10+ years in NYC commercial interior construction (office buildouts, corporate HQs, law firms, media/tech spaces), adept at sequencing, subcontractor management, and problem-solving under pressure. Strong command of safety practices, NYC codes and inspection processes, reading plans/shop drawings, and field-first communication with clients, PMs, and design teams; tech-savvy with daily report apps and scheduling tools.

Job Offer

  • Competitive base salary + project/annual bonus.
  • A pipeline of high-profile Manhattan interiors and a supportive leadership team that invests in field excellence.
  • Comprehensive benefits, 401(k), commuter benefits, and paid training/certifications (e.g., SST, FDNY, DOB).
  • Clear pathways to General Superintendent or Project Executive (Field) as the company grows.
