Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager will support the project manager in all aspects of the project process from planning all the way to closing. Our client builds in the commercial sector. They are looking for an APM who is open to traveling 25% of the time.

They have been an established for for 30+ years focusing commercial and retail new builds, build outs, and renovations for their client base. The client has a fast paced work environment with a very strong work cultural allowing for flexibility and competitive pay.

Description

The Construction Assistant Project Manager - Miami, FL will:

• Support the project manager in planning, executing, and closing projects
• Assist in creating project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Help to identify and mitigate project risks
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget
• Assist in preparing project reports and presentations

Profile

The successful applicant will look like:

• 1-4 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Nice to have estimating skills including bid packages and quantity takeoffs
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project
• The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The desire to grow their career professionally
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
