Material Planner
This fully onsite role in Stamford, CT supports production planning within a manufacturing environment, working closely with two buyers and reporting to the Production Planning Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing, is highly proactive, and skilled in Excel and ERP systems.

Description
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules without overstocking.
Create and maintain accurate material forecasts in alignment with production plans and sales projections.
Coordinate with buyers, production teams, and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Use ERP systems to track material usage, update planning data, and maintain accurate records.
Identify and resolve material shortages or delays to prevent production disruptions.
Communicate cross-functionally with purchasing, warehouse, and production planning teams to align material needs.
Review and analyze usage trends and lead times to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to inventory control, planning processes, and supply chain efficiency.
Profile
The successful candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with at least 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment. They are confident working independently, comfortable taking initiative, and skilled at coordinating across departments to keep materials flowing smoothly. This person is highly organized, thrives in fast-paced settings, and has hands-on experience with ERP systems and Excel. They're a strong communicator, capable of working closely with buyers and planning teams to anticipate and solve supply chain challenges before they impact production. Someone who enjoys being fully onsite and part of a tight-knit team will do especially well in this role.
